i found this structural timber framed design of Marlowe Academy. this just shows we can move away from steel to use a more sustainable material.

According to Foster and Partners, the Hearst Tower’s diagonal structural grid used 20 percent less steel than a comparable building utilizing conventional framing methods.

Project 1 - On its way

We made lots of progress yesterday & eventually our group finalised a concept which we were all happy with. Now the physical & 3D modelling can begin. i'll post concept sketches and drafts soon.
